Cancer demystified: A comprehensive, up-to-date understanding and enhanced cancer management
Cancer is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Despite substantial advancements in cancer research and therapy, the complexity of cancer biology continues to challenge our understanding and approach to disease combat. Aim is thus designed to demystify the complexities of cancer by providing up-to-date resources to enhance management and understanding of cancer. The review was performed from different sources, such as Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and journal books. Genetic mutations, hallmarks of cancer, diagnosis plus screening methods, liquid biopsy, therapeutic risk factors, cancer prevention, approaches for cancer treatment, and the development of anticancer drugs have been discussed. Targeted therapy and personalized medicine have revolutionized cancer care, but challenges such as resistance, toxicity, and accessibility persist. This comprehensive review will certainly help clinicians and researchers in discovery related to cancer research and anticancer drug research programs to drive the development of more effective and less toxic cancer therapies.
